Hopkins County Clerk of Courts organizes thousands of license registration cards.

The Hopkins County Clerk of Courts office originally had 26 vertical files that they used to store registration cards for license plates for the entire county. Due to the ever expanding database, they were forced into an old jail building in order to accommodate the volume of files. However, there wasn’t much room for expansion in this building, which the office knew it would need eventually.

Client: Hopkins County Clerk of Courts
Date: tk
Systems installed: Ez2®

Datum Solution

The new building for the Clerk of Courts had a limited amount of space allotted for their registration cards. The 26 vertical files were replaced with seven 92" high Ez2® Rotary Action Files.

Result

Instead of expanding out, the units expanded up, using up the vertical space in the room. The Ez2®s also utilize multimedia drawers to organize the registration cards, making them easily accessible and easy to flip through. The large top drawers were installed for dead archive storage that does not need to be accessed frequently. Also installed at this location is Datum's Mail Master™ sorting stations. These units are used to hold license plates, improving organization, visibility, and accessibility.
